Dr. Jamal Kazmi

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Zhiming Wang at the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Previously, I served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics, National University of Malaysia, where I also earned my Ph.D. in Microengineering and Nanoelectronics with a focus on the physics of semiconductor devices. My research centres on advancing 1D nanomaterials and silicon-based semiconductor thin films, exploring their applications in next-generation photodetectors and non-volatile memory devices. I am currently focusing on optimising ZnO-based asymmetrical metasurfaces and their directional charge transport. I have published over 32 high-impact journal articles and holds a patent in the field.
